Client information is spread across several places
Chat threads, paper intake forms, spreadsheets and local files. Locating what was agreed several sessions ago takes longer than it should.
Ziji combines scheduling, client records, session documentation, transcription and AI-assisted drafting in one system, built around the working practices of Chinese-speaking counselling professionals.
Product interface is currently in Simplified Chinese

Context
These problems come from fragmented tools and workflows rather than from clinical practice itself.
Chat threads, paper intake forms, spreadsheets and local files. Locating what was agreed several sessions ago takes longer than it should.
Write-up usually happens outside session time, and time pressure tends to reduce what gets recorded.
Reviewing what changed, what recurred and what was tried requires the record to be continuous in the first place.
Product
Five capabilities that operate on a single client record.
Diagrams are illustrative. The product interface is in Simplified Chinese.
Subjective
Describes repeated hesitation and self-doubt around recent moral decisions
Objective
Avoided eye contact, noticeably slower speech, three long pauses
Assessment
Moral self-blame conflicting with self-concept; questions own fairness…
Plan
Introduce a values-clarification exercise next session…

Market context
Ziji is not a general practice tool translated into Chinese. The following constraints shaped the product.
Clients book, complete intake forms and fill in assessments through a link. Asking them to install something would lose most of them, so everything on the client side works in a browser.
Data residency, de-identification before model calls, consent state and audit logging are structural, not settings added afterwards. Chinese law treats counselling records as sensitive personal information.
Most counsellors here practise independently or in very small studios. The product had to be usable on day one by one person, with no administrator and no onboarding call.
Every runtime dependency, including the language model provider, has to be reachable and licensable inside Mainland China. That rules out most of the default Western stack.
Responsible AI & data protection
Counselling records are treated as sensitive personal information under PIPL. This section describes what the system currently does.
AI produces drafts and summaries for professional review. It does not diagnose, does not decide, and does not change a record on its own.
Risk-related observations are surfaced as reminders for the counsellor to confirm. The system never notifies a third party by itself.
Client information is de-identified before it reaches the model provider: names are replaced with codes, and dates of birth, phone numbers and addresses are not sent. Our model provider states that API content is not stored and not used for training.
HTTPS / TLS 1.2 or above throughout. Passwords are stored as salted bcrypt hashes and bearer tokens as SHA-256 hashes. Access is scoped by organisation membership and role.
Sensitive actions and irreversible changes are written to an audit log inside the same transaction as the change itself.
You can export your data at any time and request account deletion. Retention periods and deletion follow the Privacy Policy (Chinese).
On certifications. Ziji runs on infrastructure assessed to China's MLPS 2.0 Level 3 standard, and our language model provider states that its service holds SOC 2, ISO 27001 and ISO 42001 certification. These are certifications held by our infrastructure and model providers. Ziji does not currently claim them in its own name.

Ziji (咨记) is a practice management system for counsellors and counselling teams. It covers scheduling, client records, session documentation, transcription, informed consent and audit trails. It is a professional tool for practitioners, not a service for the general public.
Not yet. The product interface, registration flow, pricing and legal documents are currently in Simplified Chinese. This page exists so that English-speaking visitors can understand the product and reach us. If an English interface matters to you, tell us — it helps us prioritise.
AI drafts session notes from recordings or transcripts, and can answer questions using context drawn from a client's record. Every output is a draft for the counsellor to review, edit or discard. The system does not diagnose, does not act on its own, and does not notify anyone on the basis of AI output. Conversations are saved by default so you can return to them; a conversation can be set to incognito, in which case nothing is stored.
Transport is encrypted with HTTPS / TLS 1.2 or above, passwords and bearer tokens are hashed rather than stored in readable form, access is scoped by organisation and role, and sensitive actions are audit-logged. Counselling content is treated as sensitive personal information under PIPL. Storage locations, retention periods and cross-border transfer are set out in the Privacy Policy (Chinese).
No. Ziji is software used by qualified professionals to manage their own practice. It does not provide consultation, diagnosis or treatment to the public.
